How the Crunch Digital Sandbox Works
Music Licensing with No Advances or Minimum Guarantees
Crunch Digital works with major and independent record labels and music publishers who have agreed to participate in the Sandbox program. They support the need for a music licensing program that allows easy access to quality authorized songs and tracks> Their participation enables app developers to legally launch faster, prove their concept, build market traction, and attract further investment for full product launch. If your app is approved and a participating record label and/or music publisher issues a Sandbox license, you have authorization to use their full catalog of music, subject to any restrictions that the owners specify.

Submit an application to see if your app is approved for a Sandbox license. Crunch Digital will review your application and determine whether it is approved for participation in the Sandbox. If your app is approved, Crunch Digital will work with you to develop a profile of your app to share with content owners for future music licensing.
Get Your Sandbox Licenses and Data through Crunch.
Crunch Digital will submit the profile of your app and a Sandbox license request to participating record labels and/or music publishers. If a participating record label and/or music publisher accepts your profile, they may issue you a Sandbox license. You will then have authorization to use their full catalog of music, subject to any restrictions in their music licensing agreements.
Count on Crunch Digital for Administration & Reporting.
As part of the process, Crunch Digital will send you an administration agreement for reporting. It authorizes Crunch Digital to handle all administration of music clearance and reporting under any Sandbox licenses issued. The term of a Sandbox license is for up to 1 year. After that, it is up to each participating record label or music publisher if they want to enter in to a new license. Your role is to prove out how great your app is and make the decision easy for them!
